How often should I have my Air Conditioner maintained?
Domestic units that are not in constant use and are used for cooling only generally require one service per year. Units that are in offices should be maintained at least twice per year to keep them running at their optimum level. For server rooms, we recommend at least three service visits per annum. For areas with high levels of pollution or contaminants in the air such as kitchens, hairdressers or workshops, additional service visits are carried out.
What options do I have to install air conditioning in a listed or restricted property?
Generally speaking, it is prohibited to deface a Listed building, which can include making penetrations through walls or fixing outside AC units to areas seen by the general public or others. Conservation areas are also subject to similar restrictions as the general look of the area is protected. An alternative option is to consider is installing water cooled air conditioning systems. Do I need planning permission to install air conditioning?
It depends on the property location. If the outdoor unit is either intrusive to the eye or noise can be heard from the unit which is higher than the maximum allowable decibel reading as per the local council’s legislative requirement, or if the unit is in a Conservation area then yes. Otherwise no it is not a requirement.
How long does it take to install?

Do the units make a lot of noise?
The units are exceptionally quiet and ideal if you want climate control in your bedroom for example. An ultra low-noise night time setting can be switched on using the remote controller.
